Many are concerned about the possibility of fish contamination from the Japanese Incident. We want to help inform you about our fish.
Not all of our fish comes from Japan. We get Salmon from Scotland, Saba from Norway, and Yellowtail from the South Tip of Japan which is not affected by the nuclear situation.
One of our suppliers put out a statement regarding the Japan incident and the fish they provide. You can read about it here TrueWorldFoods.com
Here is what the letter says from that link:
At True World Foods we understand some of our customers have expressed concerns about the possibility of contaminated seafood products from Japan. We offer a wide variety of seafood products from around the world, a majority of which originate from countries other than Japan. Those products still coming from Japan originate from areas far removed from the area of concern on Japan’s northeast coast. Most notably, our farm-raised tuna – Ten-Qoo Maguro – are reared in sea pens off Japan’s far southern coast.
Nevertheless we want to offer our customers the following assurances that the products we offer are safe and that we are closely monitoring events as they unfold in Japan:
At True World Foods, our mission is a steadfast commitment to providing our customers with a superior level of service and the freshest, safest and tastiest products available on the market today. Our customers can be assured of our continued dedication to this mission as we source and supply products from every corner of the globe that are processed using the strictest standards of cleanliness, wholesomeness, safety and quality control.
We hope to serve you at Edokko Japanese Restaraunt soon.
Our fish is not contaminated from the Japan incident. We have fish that comes from Europe that is far away from the incident. See our fish page for more information. Our Fish
